I just returned from New Orleans for the International Awards show and Next Level Training with my company Total Life Changes. We had so much fun.
I believe that events change lives for several reasons.
1. FUN- They are fun and they allow distributors to take a break and enjoy the fruit of their labor. Face it everyone needs a break and most of the time entrepreneurs don’t know how to turn it off. Events almost force them to do so.
2. Recognition. I have heard the saying that “Men die for it and babies cry for it.” Recognition is huge and companies that put a lot of emphasis on recognition have a higher retention rate.
3. Culture- When distributors get a chance to feel and see the heart of what the company stands for it can make a world of difference. I know for me getting to actually meet the founder and CEO of the company in a very informal setting was one of the highlights of the event for me.
Jack Fallon is truly a rare breed when it comes to company owners. I felt that he truly cares about the sales force and it was a pleasure to see him mingling among us from day one.
4. New Products- Companies often use events to introduce new products as well as offer deals on products to the attendees. It really is a win-win for the company and the distributors.
Well I could go on and on about what a difference events can make in a direct sales business but I think you get the point. Never miss an event you qualify for. Meet people, have fun, learn a lot, laugh a lot and commit to be at the next event.
