Daily Plan of Action To Reach Your Goals

I am often asked what is the fastest way to reach individual goals and some of the best advise I have ever received is to Focus on 3 to 5 things per day that you do no matter what.

It is simiilar to the Slight Edge theory taught by Jeff Olson. It is not doing a lot of things. It is doing a few things a lot of times. To accomplish this will require discipline, focus, and the ability to see beyond the mundane because it can truly feel boring at first.

But… If you want to change your life you have to welcome new habits. You have to be willing  to become a new person and for some that means taking some things off of your plate and really focusing upon what really matters.

Take for an example. If you have always wanted to write a book, the thought of it can be overwhelming which is why a lot of people never do it. BUT although daunting, if you can simply make an agreement with yourself that you will write 5 pages a day 5 days a week at the end of a 30 day period your book could be complete. You could then send it to an editor and start the publishing process.

The key is having time that is dedicated to completing this task or goal. You have to really want it though because life will not stop just because you’ve decided to write a book, or go back to school, or even start a business.

Decide on three to five things that are important to accomplishing your goal and go for it! I hope this helps…
